A strong supplier relationship should make verification easier, not more difficult.
Why closer collaboration at origin matters
Reliable botanical quality begins before shipment.
Closer collaboration with farmers, cooperatives, processors, and local communities can make it easier to communicate customer expectations, identify risks earlier, and improve practices over time.
This does not mean that a direct relationship automatically guarantees quality. Good intentions cannot replace proper handling, clear documentation, suitable packaging, traceability, or riskbased laboratory testing.
But a stronger presence at origin can help address problems where they begin: during cultivation, harvest, drying, storage, and preparation for export.
That is often more effective than trying to correct avoidable quality issues after the product has already reached the destination market.
