Our Sourcing & Ethics
Building Transparent Botanical Supply Chains Between Africa and Global Markets

FairBotanicals sources botanicals through direct relationships with producers, cooperatives, and regional partners across Africa.

Our approach combines responsible sourcing practices, operational transparency, and international quality standards to help clients source ingredients with greater traceability and confidence.

We are an early-stage company, but from the beginning we have chosen to build systems focused on long-term partnerships, documented supply chains, and accountable sourcing practices — not anonymous commodity trading.
Our Sourcing Network
Origin-Based Sourcing with Regional Partnerships
FairBotanicals is headquartered in Ireland, with sourcing operations and partnerships across multiple African origin regions.
We work to build traceable supply chains that connect agricultural producers with food, cosmetic, nutraceutical, and wellness manufacturers in Europe and international markets.

Our Approach to Responsible Sourcing
We believe responsible sourcing must be practical, measurable, and continuously improving.
Rather than making broad sustainability claims, we focus on building supply chains that are increasingly transparent, documented, and relationship-driven over time.
Land & Agricultural Practices
We encourage responsible agricultural and collection practices among our sourcing partners, including sustainable harvesting methods, post-harvest handling standards, and reduced environmental impact where possible.
Producer Relationships
We prioritise direct and long-term sourcing relationships that improve communication, traceability, and commercial stability across the supply chain.
Quality & Product Integrity
Our sourcing model is designed around batch traceability, documented handling procedures, and alignment with EU quality and compliance expectations.
Team & Operational Responsibility
We aim to build a business culture grounded in fairness, professionalism, safety, and long-term capability building across both our internal team and sourcing network.
The Cross-Continental Experience
FairBotanicals was founded from firsthand experience across both African agricultural markets and European botanical supply chains.
With roots in Nigeria, education in Germany, and industry experience within the international botanical sector, our foundation combines origin understanding with the quality, compliance, and traceability expectations of global buyers.
This perspective continues to shape how we build sourcing relationships, manage quality standards, and approach long-term supply chain development.
Quality & Compliance
Built Around International Market Requirements
FairBotanicals operates with a strong focus on quality management and regulatory alignment for EU and international markets.
Current Focus Areas
- Batch-level Certificates of Analysis (COAs)
- Supplier documentation and verification
- EU food and cosmetic compliance support
- Logistics and export documentation management
- Third-party laboratory coordination where required
Certifications & Standards
Some certifications and verification frameworks UEBT are already active within parts of our network, while others such as FairTrade, Fair for Life, Rainforest Alliance and EU Organic remain under development as the business scales.
We believe transparency about our current stage is more important than overstating certification status.
Traceability & Supply Chain Transparency
From Origin to Shipment
We understand that international buyers increasingly require greater visibility into ingredient sourcing, handling, and logistics.
Our objective is to provide clients with structured supply chain documentation wherever applicable and available.
Our Supply Chain Documentation Include:
- Farmer group and sourcing region information
- Harvest and aggregation records
- Processing and storage documentation
- Certificates of Analysis (COAs)
- Phytosanitary documentation
- Shipment and export records
- Batch-level traceability references
As our sourcing network develops, we continue strengthening our internal documentation and traceability systems across all operational stages.

- and long-term supply chain transparency.
We believe credibility is built through consistent execution over time.
